I ordered the insoles advertised on television using my Visa check card. The original amount was deducted from my bank account on 3/11/2008 ($30.90, including shipping and handling). I received the package shortly thereafter via the USPS and was less than satisfied with the product. On 4/10/2008 a charge against my bank account by Walkfit in the amount of $13.90 was posted. I contacted the company who indicated that this was an "additional shipping charge" which was not explained at the time of purchase, nor authorized. They indicated that they would credit the amount back to my account immediately. The following morning, I discovered that rather than crediting my bank account, they had withdrawn an additional $44.85. My immediate call to the company resulted in my being informed that they had enrolled me in a vitamin program and that was the charge for the upcoming shipment of the "joint support formula". I explained that I had never ordered or authorized any such purchase and they explained that I did not have to authorize it because they had included paperwork with my insoles that stated that I was in the program and it was my responsibility to decline. The package for the insoles contained no paperwork, not even a packing slip. They promised to cancel my involuntary subscription and not attempt to re-execute the charge (Walkfit Confirmation # 5932069). They failed to live up to their word and the next day another charge was pending!. Although my bank managed to block the transaction from Walkfit on 2 occasions, they managed to slip through under a different name of WF Joint Support and debited the account:. I have since cancelled the bank card.. To date, I never received any further package from the company'. Please check the Better Business Bureau, as of today there were 660 complaints, not inclusive of mine'. On their website they indicate that there is a "free sample" of this joint formula to be shipped with each order, no mention of any subscription,.

Please contact the USPS if you have had the same experience as they have started an investigation,.

GOOD PRODUCT...SCAM COMPANY! READ BEFORE YOU BUY FROM WALKFIT WEBSITE!!!!!

FIRST I WILL SUGGEST IF YOU HAVE ORDERED FROM THE WALKFIT WEBSITE...THINK ABOUT CONTACTING YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANK AND REVERSING OR CANCELLING YOUR ORDER. DO THIS BEFORE YOU READ MY POST...THEN COME BACK AND READ MY POST!!!!

I walk for a living here in Canada. I ordered walkfit insoles years ago(2 pairs) from the Cdn Home Shopping Channel(HSC) website...a very reputable company. I have used custom orthotics most of my adult life. I saw the infomercial with the steam roller running over the insoles and I thought hmmm I will try these out. You see I wear orthotics out every year so I was willing to try anything. The Walkfit insoles work great for me. I have recommended them to many people I work with(who also walk for a living...guess what my occupation is?) Years have passed and I decided it was time to order a couple more pairs. Unfortunately the HSC no longer sells them. So I tracked down the Walkfit website. This website is the worst I have ever come across. I am a very experienced and savvy online shopper and I have NEVER had such a terrible experience with an online store. The website is set up to take your credit card and personal details when you think you are ready to complete your order. The site then drags you through numerous UP-Sell and Combo options that you start becoming confused and frustrated...all you want to do is leave the site. When I was finally able to place my order, I received an incredibly vague email from Walkfit stating they had received my order. In the email from Walkfit there was No reference number, No total amount, No order details, No link to my order on their website. The email from them is what made my red flags go up...way up! So I immediately emailed Walkfit. I gave them 1 hour to confirm my order details, either by phone or email or I would cancel my order with my credit card. I waited the hour and ended up cancelling my card upon the credit card companies recommendation. I am shocked that a company can do business like this and get away with it. Unfortunately I think most of the people they are scamming are probably the elderly, who have fixed incomes and see Walkfit as a viable economic option for very expensive custom orthotics.

I wish someone in the good ole' USA with some legal experience could shut these scammers down! On a positive note...upon doing research I realized that numerous distributors buy the Walkfit insoles and sell them. For a fraction of the price...without the scam website, without the Up-Selling. You can actually order them through Amazon in the USA and other places...just do a search on the internet. The sad reality is that this is a great product that sells itself unfortunately the Walkfit company website is killing this product and ruining it's reputation forever! Oh by the way...I never heard back from Walkfit...I guess when they found out they could not charge my credit card(because I cancelled the card in time) they focused on other good people to SCAM!

This bunch of crooks ripped me off also. The sad part of this whole thing is the law will not touch them. Now you can not get to them by email as they have blocked out all the email address's I have tried. :( :(

I ordered these orthotics and did not like them. They ask that you try them for at least 30 days, if not longer, before making a decision about them as it can take a while for them to become comfortable. I did this. They never became comfortable--they hurt! So I sent them back. Never heard from them and my account was never credited with the return. I emailed an inquiry to which they responded they only allow returns within 30 days of purchase, and if I want them sent back to me to let them know so I can pay shipping again!!! This is a scam. DON'T ORDER!!!!!

I ordered a $19.95 pair of WalkFit orthotics and ended up with a bill of over $89.00 - whether they work or not - this is a rip off. They said I did not "Uncheck" other offers. The shipping alone was over $30.00 and it took 10 days to get them. Don't buy these! This company is a ripoff

Instead of placing my order in ONE 8" x 8" box..................they split the shipment, and charged me a total of

$ 54.65 in shipping costs. Not only that...........I never received my TWo FREE bottles of vitamins until another month had past ! They charged me an additional $ 59.80 ??????

I only wanted the in-soles. This company is a total rip-off !
